This article exhorts university graduate students and researchers everywhere to publish their scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, preferably those covered by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), rather than in the gray literature – technical reports, conference proceedings, and books. Philippine journals are also used to work for stringent peer review, frequent and prompt issues, wide circulation, high standards, and ISI coverage – so that Filipino scientists contribute to, and benefit from, the mainstream literature of the international scientific community.en
